Islam vs Christianity

We all know about the hatred that is taught in Islam. The desire to murder and kill everyone, including their own children, mothers, fathers, etc, but especially Christians, Jews, and anyone that wants freedom. The bible says that the LAW was made for such people.

Anyhow, many will also mention that our roots (Christian roots) come from the same sort of background. i.e. One of murder and such. For example, the Israelites were commanded by God to destroy the nations that they inherited, down to the men, women, and children. It sounds like a really horrible thing to do on the surface, and it's difficult for many Christians to explain that our God is a loving God, when there is records of Him commanding the Israelites to do such things. Hopefully, I can shed light on the subject, so that anyone who reads this will have an answer for those that question them.

Islamic nations are descendants of Ishmael, one of Abraham's children. He was the son of the bond maid. And, what is written about him, is that his descendants would have no end of fighting others, and would be a continual thorn in everyone's sides (Genesis 16:11-12Open Link in New Window). So it is to this very day.

In Islam, they are taught to kill, and hate, for the sake of killing. They honestly believe it is for righteousness sake, and the like. But they have no concept of mercy, forgiveness, or grace. In the OT and NT however, there are numerous examples of mercy, forgiveness, and grace. David for example, did an atrocious thing, by committing adultery with Bathsheba. And God was ready to pronounce judgment against Him, but David repented. Because David repented, God was able to show mercy, and forgiveness to Him, and to cleans Him from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1Open Link in New Window) We read in the Psalms how David began to weep, and mourn, for the wickedness that he had committed.

Some examples of Islamic hatred are when they saw people's heads off, and mutilate men, women, and children alike. They not only do these things to other people, they do it to their own people as well. They don't just kill them, they torture them to death. What kind of DEMONIC behavior is that? I have seen videos showing them cutting the scalps of small children, no more than four years old. They do it as an offering to their God, TO THEIR OWN CHILDREN. Well, the God of the Jews and the Christians very explicitly says not to do such things. They are a stench in God's nostrils.

Now, with that said, let's get back to what the Israelites were commanded to do. They were commanded to kill men, women, and children alike. But, did they torture them? NO! Did they rape them? NO! What was the very reason for wiping them out, as opposed to living "with" them? Because, they were evil. We have already seen examples of their evil in the previous paragraph. The bible says that God drove them out because of their own wickedness. God was very angry with them because they caused their children to pass through the fire (sacrifice of children to god), and because of many other wicked things.

What kind of a state would the entire world be in right now, if God had not commanded Israel to destroy those people? I have to say, we would not have nearly as much peace on the earth right now, as we do. In fact, we would probably be under Islamic rule this very moment.

We also must remember that God always thinks eternally, because He is an eternal being. He is not limited to space and time as we are. So, every judgment He makes, for the good of His creation, is based on eternity, and is not limited in any way to space and time. When you take eternity into consideration, it is far better to destroy a few wicked people, than to allow the world to go on and on, allowing them to mutilate, murder, and torture their own children, as well as others. That was the reason for the flood. That was the reason for destroying Sodom and Gomorrah. In fact, in reference to Sodom and Gomorrah, the bible says that there had been prayers going up against the wickedness of Sodom and Gomorrah.

So, I hope we can now see the contrast between the god of Islam, and the God of the Jews and Christians.

  1. Check out Bill Cloud at http://www.billcloud.org. I dont know if any of his writings are on his web site, but he explains the locusts and the last day famine very well I think. If we think the Islamists can be our friends, we are sadly mistaken. The bible says Ishmael will be a wild man. I think we see this with the PLO and Hamas fighting each other.
